Emu Plains company Native Oils Australia provides Australian grown ingredients for a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, industrial and cosmetics and works with household names such as Bosistos and doTERRA.

Native Oils Australia ingredients can be found in cleaners, sprays, aromatherapy products and more. The company also designs and fabricates specialised equipment for essential oil distillation at their Bromley Road site and develops projects to support agricultural production and increase Australia’s natural ingredient output.

Originally based in the Blue Mountains, the company moved to a larger premises at Emu Plains to enable rapid growth and expansion. The move to Penrith also allowed the company to reduce freight and logistics costs and access professional freight networks.

According to Native Oils Australia Sales & Marketing Manager Rebecca Johnson, Australian manufacturing provides important support to the local economy and fosters local entrepreneurialism.

“Without investing in these major growth areas, the cogs can be seen to slow across the country,” she said.

Investment in manufacturing also taps into a wealth of potential.

“Global goods manufacturers are becoming increasingly dependent on what Australia can produce thanks to our significant array of resources, the ambitions of our workforces and vast climate from coast to coast.”

And, with increasing interest in natural ingredients, the opportunities for Native Oils Australia continue to grow. The company hopes to be based in Penrith for many years to come.
