Council Meetings

Council Meetings have now returned to the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre; however, given the ongoing pandemic situation, meetings will continue to be live audio streamed until further notice.

To keep participants and the community safe, capacity limits, social distancing, full vaccination and other restrictions on attendance will apply consistent with Council's COVID-19 Risk Assessment and any current Public Health Order in place.

Addressing a Council meeting

Council holds one Ordinary Council meeting each month and Policy Review Committee meetings every second month.

Anyone can request permission to address a meeting about an issue or matter on the Agenda, providing the number of speakers is limited to 3 in support of any proposal and 3 against.

Council will accept written submissions to items on the agenda by completing the form below. All forms must be received by midday on the day of the meeting. 

Members of the public who wish to attend Council Meetings in person to observe are welcome however will need to adhere to social distancing requirements.

Meetings are generally held on Monday nights with Ordinary Council meetings starting at 7pm in the Council Chambers, and Policy Review Committee meetings starting at 7pm on Level 1 of the Penrith City Council Civic Centre. All Council meetings (except confidential sessions of the meetings) are recorded and will be placed on the Council website for public access.  Recordings of meetings are considered 'Government Information' and Council will retain the information for a period of at least one year and may be disposed of in accordance with State Records Act 1998.
