Craig Shanahan, owner of The Blind Chef Café & Dessert Bar in Penrith was recently announced as the Inaugural Winner, Link Vision Employer of Choice Award 2022, at the Blind Australian of the Year Awards Gala Dinner on the Gold Coast.
Craig is a valuable member of the Penrith community and business networks. By pursuing his own aspirations, he demonstrates that people with disability are only limited by others' perception of what is possible. His business continues to bounce back from Covid-19 and will continue to play a vital role in economic and social outcomes in Penrith.
The Blind Australian of the Year awards acknowledge and promote an equitable and inclusive Australia. They celebrate the exceptional contribution of Australians with low and no vision who, by their example, inspire others to excellence and by their actions, improve Australian community life. These prestigious awards bring Australia wide acknowledgement for the recipient.
