Council’s ‘Meet the Experts’ event sparks conversations among local entrepreneurs

Penrith City Council hosted a Start Me Up Penrith event last month with 'Meet the Experts' at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, as part of this year's Spark Festival.

Local start-up founders were invited to attend and speak with a panel of experts, including leaders from business planning, marketing, and technology.

The panel sparked conversations around the opportunities and challenges for start-ups in Penrith and gave attendees the chance to ask questions to assist them on their start-up journey and provided a platform to network with other local like-minded founders and business owners.

The event was facilitated by Marley Palin, senior leader in the Deloitte Innovation & Ventures team.

The panel was made up of industry experts, including:

• Adam Arbolino – Founder of Mixo
• Lucas H. – Council Relationship Manager Sydney at Service NSW
• Maegan Baker – Director Skills & Education (Acting) at Western Parkland City Authority
