Over the coming decade, billions of dollars in State and Federal Government investment will flow to Penrith New West.
Over the coming decade, billions of dollars in State and Federal Government investment will flow to Penrith New West off the back of major infrastructure projects including the Western Sydney Airport, Metro Western Sydney Airport, Nepean Hospital redevelopment, and significant road upgrades.
Concurrently, the New West is seeing equally significant private sector development in the education, commercial, health, residential and accommodation sectors. Helping local businesses get a piece of the action will be the subject of an upcoming “Writing Winning Tenders” workshop hosted by the Western Sydney Business Centre (WSBC) and supported by Penrith Council. WSBC is a state government funded organisation who delivers the BIzconnect program to small businesses. The tender writing workshop is ideal for any business and is a practical step by step workshop where tenders from both the public and private sector will be assessed and participants will have the opportunity to draft tender applications in class and have them assessed by the facilitator. A discussion will also take place about current developments in the sector.
The workshop is an initiative of the Penrith COVID-19 Economic Recovery Taskforce and will be led by Keith Whelan who has extensive experience in helping business position their offer and collaborate with others to position themselves for major projects. After the workshop, local businesses can use the services of the WSBC to develop business plans and find other businesses to collaborate with on joint proposals.
The free online workshop will be held on December 4th, register here
