Penrith City Library wants your feedback

Monday, 19 August 2024

Members and visitors of Penrith City Libraries are encouraged to provide feedback on proposed upgrades and changes to the Penrith branch’s floorplan and study areas.

The Library is working towards finalising its upgrade plans, including investigating a change to the floorplan, collection locations, study and quiet areas, shelving, and potentially maximising space by opening an enclosed garden area.

Library customers are invited to provide feedback on what they’d like to see change when it comes to the use of space at the Penrith City Library branch, how they use the current spaces, and how they’d like their customer experience improved.

Penrith Mayor Todd Carney said the Library is always looking to adapt and evolve, from its services to its infrastructure, and the proposed upgrades would only improve customers’ experiences.

“The Library recently introduced quiet and group study areas and are investigating maximising additional space by potentially opening the enclosed garden area to customers,” Cr Carney said.

“The next stage in meeting the needs of the community is improving the Library spaces — which is why we’re asking customers to provide insight into how they interact with the collections and study and quiet zones.

“I encourage everyone who visits Penrith City Library to take some time to complete the survey, as it will help our Library team with their upgrades.”

By completing the survey, you have the chance to enter a draw to win one of four $200 Westfield shopping vouchers. The survey closes on Monday 2 September 2024 at 5pm.
