ENJOY THE NRL GRAND FINAL AT COUNCIL’S LIVE SITE AT THE MONDO 2024

Thursday, 3 October 2024

Our community is celebrating the success of the Penrith Panthers with Penrith City Council hosting a live site on Grand Final day!

The Panthers are making their fifth grand final appearance - the only team in the NRL to potentially win four successive titles. Council is encouraging fans to come along to a family-friendly live site at The Mondo this Sunday, 6 October, to share the excitement with other supporters.

Grab a spot from 6pm ahead of the Grand Final kick off at 7.30pm. The Mondo is at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre forecourt, between the Penrith City Council Civic Centre and Westfield (see attached map).

The site has capacity limits, and there is no reserved seating. Fans are encouraged to come early to secure the best seats.

Penrith City Council’s General Manager Andrew Moore said Grand Final fever has well and truly gripped Penrith.

“The whole Penrith community is once again celebrating the Penrith Panthers making the NRL Grand Final – that is now five years in a row,” Mr Moore said.

“Council has been busy decorating the city, along with providing posters to the community and local businesses in Penrith and St Marys.

“Each year the Penrith Panthers re-write the history books, and this year is no different as they look to become the first NRL team to win four premierships back-to-back.”

There will be food trucks, entertainment, and activities for the kids at this alcohol-free event. Fans can bring camp chairs, picnics, and blankets, and of course your loudest cheers as the Penrith Panthers take on the Melbourne Storm.
