Help shape Penrith's Community Engagement Strategy

Sunday, 10 November 2024

Penrith City Council invites the community to have their say on the revised Community Engagement Strategy and Community Participation Plan 2024-28 this month.

The document formalises Council’s commitment to better decision-making through meaningful engagement.

It also outlines Council’s guiding principles to understand what engagement looks like and how our community can be involved in shaping the future of our City.

Penrith Mayor Todd Carney said community engagement is at the heart of local government and helps communities to be active participants in decision-making.

“Council has a vital role to play in providing opportunities for people to be involved in creating good public policy and ensuring relevant, quality services for our current and future residents,” Cr Carney said.

“We want everyone to be part of this important conversation that will ultimately make our City a better place to live, work and visit.”

Council’s Community Engagement Strategy and Community Participation Plan 2024-28 are on exhibition until Wednesday 27 November.

Hard copies are available to view at the Penrith Civic Centre, St Marys Business Office and Library, Penrith City Library and St Clair Library.
