A delegation of Japanese students and teachers from Kinjo College in Hakusan visited four local childcare centres to learn about the latest in childcare studies.
The delegation visited Ridgee-ee-didge Children's Centre (Oxley Park), Kindana Children's Centre, Cook Parade Children's Centre and Strauss Rd Children's Centre (all in St Clair) last Friday.
Penrith Mayor Ross Fowler OAM said this year's visit followed five previously highly successful visits which started in 2007 then followed in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013.
"Every delegation has been highly impressed with our childcare programs," Councillor Fowler said. "The visits benefit the Kinjo college students as well as our local children who get to learn about another culture.
"Council is pleased to be able to play its part in this worthwhile program that ultimately benefits children both in Australia and Japan."
The next delegation of students and teachers from Kinjo College is scheduled for 2017.
