The newly accelerated High Street Upgrade is progressing at a rapid pace, with the final section of works due to commence in mid-August.
From Monday 13 August, work will commence along High Street, from Station Street through to Henry Street (including a section of Riley Street). This marks the start of the final section of works and will involve a 5-week road closure.
The work happening in High Street is essential to install a stormwater drainage system that will help protect businesses from flash flooding for years to come.
The accelerated program is on schedule and the works are expected to be finished in late November 2018.
Council is working with the Contractor to minimise the impact whenever possible.
All works are subject to weather of course, and Council will continue to keep businesses and the community informed as works progress.
You can stay up to date with the works program through Council's website yoursaypenrith.com.au/HighStreet.
