Penrith is gearing up for a big week of sporting action this November when The Westfield Matildas return to Panthers Stadium to take on 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers Chile on Saturday 10 November, in what is expected to be a sell-out game.
Penrith is gearing up for a big week of sporting action this November when The Westfield Matildas return to Panthers Stadium to take on 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers Chile on Saturday 10 November, in what is expected to be a sell-out game.
The Westfield Matildas vs Chile match will headline a massive week of sporting action in Penrith including the NSW Golf Open Championship, 8-11 November and the Veterans Cricket Australian National Championship, 10-15 November.
Penrith Mayor Ross Fowler OAM is encouraging locals to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
"The Westfield Matildas vs Chile promises to be a thrilling clash between two proud sporting nations, and we're lucky to be hosting this great event right here in Penrith," Cr Fowler said.
"By attracting events like the Westfield Matildas vs Chile and the NSW Open, Council is further cementing Penrith's reputation as the home of world class events in Western Sydney."
