We're mowing as fast as we can

The recent rain has made it impossible for us to mow our 428ha of parks, 340ha of sportsgrounds and 235ha of community land as often as usual, but we know it's a priority!

Our heavy duty mowing equipment weighs up to 5 tonnes, and would cause damage if used on soft, wet ground.

Now that the sun is back and the ground is starting to dry, Council teams across the City are working hard to catch up and return our open spaces to their usual high standard. We know this is a top priority for our community, so it is for us too.
