Penrith City Council’s Corporate Bushcare Volunteering Program contributes to fostering partnerships between community, government and businesses to deliver environmental outcomes. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community, and volunteering in Bushcare is not only bound to get your hands a little dirty, but it’ll be a lot of fun, too.
Corporate volunteers are matched with projects within the Penrith area to participate in an environmental project for a specified timeframe. Volunteers assist in planting thousands of native species, removing tonnes of weeds and cleaning up dozens of natural areas each year.
Corporate volunteers leave with a better understanding of biodiversity, the local area, and how their activities at home and work may be impacting our environment.
